Joe Biden for president? VP, smiling, doesn’t rule out 2020 run
Asked if he was joking, Mr Biden said: “I’m not committing not to run”.

In a recent interview at a Capitol press conference, Biden more than hinted at a 2020 presidential run. He eventually mentioned the position he’s aiming, though.
Biden is also known for his candid, often uncensored way of speaking – which, depending on who you’re speaking to, can be a problem or a solution.
He opted not to run past year – after seeming to test the waters for a brief period – and backed Hillary Clinton’s campaign.
Biden, a possible record breaker! When asked to elaborate on the role he would seek, the 74-year-old vice president replied: “For president”. Biden later campaigned for the 2016 presidential race Democratic nominee Clinton.
Reactions to his “announcement” across Twitter played at the “Uncle Joe” and loose-cannon memes that have more or less defined Biden’s public appearance in recent months. But fans were super excited to see him come on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert on December 6 after he made a very cryptic joke the day before to reporters about running for president in 2020.

The vice president told Colbert in an emotional interview over a year ago that the death of his son Beau made it too hard to commit to a 2016 run. On Wednesday, he’ll return to the Senate for a bipartisan tribute to his 36 years as a member of the body, as well as eight as vice president. The senate recently voted last Monday to actually rename a bill targeted at accelerating the research of cancer, after Joe Biden’s late son.
