Cuba still retains the death penalty, with capital punishment carried out by firing squad, although its use has declined over the years.

Cuba’s fight for freedom, Verdugo said, hasn’t ended just because Castro has died but this is the time for Cubans to act especially Cuban Americans.
Sunday, the island began a nine day mourning period for their former leader. We are going to continue with a dictator, Raul Castro, who will do the same thing Fidel did, those two did the same things together.
