NFL Week 13 Predictions: Buffalo Bills vs. Oakland Raiders 12/4/16

After rallying to defeat the Buffalo Bills 38-24 on Sunday at the Oakland Coliseum and improve to 10-2, the Oakland Raiders had little time to celebrate. Have thoughts on how the Raiders and Bills are performing? Known as mostly a special teams standout during his first nine seasons in the NFL, Alexander has emerged as a big-time pass rusher in Buffalo.

Unfortunately, a combined 212 rushing yards and three touchdowns on the ground wasn’t enough to pull out a win, and coach Rex Ryan made sure to give McCoy credit while telling reporters that the entire offense needed to step up.

“It was one of those situations where everything they did went right and we just couldn’t make a play”, safety Corey Graham said. He’s a consummate professional. “We got fired up for the draft”.

Adding to that total against the Raiders won’t be easy.

The Raiders were set-up with excellent field position after Bills punter Colton Schmidt shanked a 33-yard punt. “He’ll get rid of it if he has to”.

LeSean McCoy, Bills – Before the Buffalo offense got shut down, Shady was an absolute beast. Running back Jonathan Stewart did most of the damage for the Panthers, finishing with 96 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries (5.6 ypc).

-Buffalo took the lead a second time with an impressive 11-play, 80-yard possession capped by a one-yard push into the end zone by Mike Gillislee for a 10-3 lead early in the second quarter. The previous low over that span was eight shared by five teams, most recently Kansas City past year. Many Oakland fans don’t see this as an issue, but after being moved to the Nickel Corner spot, Hayden has been a very sold player. Taylor has rushing TD in four of five games.

Then another dramatic thing happens: Carr turns into the MVP of the league.

Coming into the game with an ankle injury, running back Latavius Murray once again showed why he is one of the key cogs in the Raiders’ offensive machine. Clive Walford had 1 reception for 18 yards. “That’s what I’m seeing from him, a guy that can play with speed, power, finesse”.

But Carr and the Raiders have more second-half punching power than anybody in the game, and have proven it against New Orleans, Baltimore, Tampa Bay, Houston, Carolina… and now Buffalo. Only Raider with longer streak was Lance Johnstone with eight in 1998.

When reporters were waiting for Irvin after the game, he said, “Why do you want to talk to Robin?”

Mack may go against LT Cordy Glenn, but look for him to be on Mills’ side much more often, and the Bills will have to give Mills help with either TE Charles Clay or FB Jerome Felton. “Any time you play a good football team like that you have to play a complete game and it has to be 60 minutes”.
