‘Star Wars’ actress Daisy Ridley speaks out over who Rey’s parents are
Now, she’s joined The Eagle Huntress: an inspirational documentary which follows 13-year-old Aisholpan, the Mongolian teenager who broke boundaries to become the first female eagle hunter in her country.
The thing is, we already know from various interviews that Rey’s parents actually aren’t in The Force Awakens at all.
“I thought a lot was answered in The Force Awakens”, she said.
Then there’s the mysterious voice in Rey’s head – in The Force Awakens novelisation – which tells her to kill Kylo Ren.
“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” left if cryptic, of course, hoping the big twist will somewhat rival the one our forefathers were riveted by back in the ’80s when it was revealed he was he’s poppa. However, Daisy Ridley believes that the background of the character is so obvious in the first film. We’ve all also been promised that the answer as to her parentage would be presented in Episode VIII-you know, just one short year away. There would be a clear contrast between the two’s relationship as Rey begins training with her own mentor, Luke Skywalker.
Is It Obi-Wan Or Luke? Reports claim that the installment will most likely feature the demise of Luke as he would suffer the guilt on the fact that Kylo Ren has shifted to the dark side.
The Age of Daisy Ridley has arrived. According to Mark Hamill, production on Star Wars 8 is so secret it’s like working for a government agency, meaning that most Star Wars 8 rumors we heard so far are nothing but simple speculations.
But still, with very few alterations, this single graphic could succinctly list everything you’d need to read, watch or play to have consumed all of the story of Star Wars – and as I fully comprehended that, I was overcome with a swell of excitement. Creating an even more eerie resemblance, Abrams had Ridley creeping around Starkiller Base in much the same way that Guinness was seen sneaking about the Death Star in Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope.
“Star Wars: Episode VIII” is scheduled to premiere on December 15, 2017.
