Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 Confirmed, Release Date Set
Sony recently released a 17-second trailer tease of the much awaited “Spider-Man: Homecoming”. We also get a new line from Michael Keaton’s the Vulture: “The world’s changing boys, time we change too”. Robert Downey Jr. appears in “Spider-Man: Homecoming” as Tony Stark’s Iron Man. “For years, we have had an argument that who would win in a fight: Spider-Man or Batman”.
“Spider-Man: Homecoming” is directed by Jon Watts, and stars Tom Holland in the title role. Plus, not only can he jump off the Washington Monument and take getting a schoolbus thrown at him, Spidey’s strong enough to web up the sides of a fractured cargo ship and hold it together. And after watching the film’s first trailer, which debuted last night, it’s easy to see why that is.
If you watch the trailer closely, you’ll notice that it gives away a few big spoilers.
The moment Spider-Man fans have been anticipating since word broke the webbed hero was coming home to Marvel Studios finally arrived. Antagonizing Peter is the Vulture, the villainous green “monster guy” which will be portrayed by Michael Keaton. It was revealed then that Tony Stark (Iron Man) has given Parker a minor upgrade.
Spider-Man: Homecoming showcases Parker’s high school misfit days.
“This is really a movie where Spider-Man’s not the finished article”.
So what’s changed? Well for one thing the tone has shifted slightly from “superhero-themed American high school romantic dramedy” to a more standard Marvel superhero film, presumably to cater to differing cultural tastes. How about just plain old Spider-Man 2?
