The Vampire Diaries Season 8 Spoilers: Stefan Dies In Christmas Episode?
Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley) and his brother Damon (Ian Somerhalder) are eternally serving Arcadius (Wolé Parks), better know as Cade.
The Vampire Diaries airs Fridays at 8/7c on The CW. They hear screams in nearby tents, and it’s all because of a very bearded Stefan! Stefan doesn’t want to meet Cade, but Damon doesn’t care. She tells Bonnie and Enzo that she had every intention of eating his flesh – there’s a sentence you don’t get to write every day – but when she looked into his mind, she didn’t see evil.
Before Stefan’s time as the devil’s servant officially begins, Cade shows Stefan why he his excited for this arrangement.
Stefan wakes up in what looks like the mansion, but it’s empty. Stefan has just massacred the entire village on Christmas Eve. No one could ruin the holiday like Damon Salvatore and Stefan will spend his last day of freedom with Caroline and things are going to be tough for them.
Nobody is safe in Mystic Falls, where dark forces come out regularly to prey on its inhabitants. She followed him to a house where he was scrawling the names of his victims on a wall. It is also a place where you are very likely to end up face-to-face with werewolves, witches, ghosts, hybrids and other unusual creatures of the dark.
Next Cade takes Stefan to the first moment he’d met Elena. Despite the difficulty, she was able to adjust gracefully which even earned her the nickname “Vampire Barbie”.
With the deal in place, Stefan returns to the land of the living.
That is Stefan’s unique talent, and why Cade needs him.
There were a few little updates in here about some of our other characters: Alaric’s trying to figure out how to handle his kids who are suddenly obsessed with Seline, while Matt and his father made a decision to turn up at the party because they have a death wish or something. Bonnie and the rest of the pack thought of getting her into drinking eggnog or maybe a poison drink composed of milk and cinnamon. Too bad the noise also affects Bonnie – and the twins – hinting at a connection between witches and sirens. Cade makes Stefan feel super guilty and wants him to do the same thing again. Even fan theories about her return are already rolling over the internet, creating and suggesting how the story will end.
In case Nina Dobrev returns to the show, she might possibly save Damon from Sybil’s curse of misery. He responds by giving her the gift that Caroline gave him earlier in the episode, something with a strong tie to Elena, her necklace. It seems Seline was there to collect Stefan for Cade.
Damon and Stefan go find the ornaments, where Stefan asks Damon to leave him alone, since after midnight Damon will have him for eternity. Specifically, he took Elena’s necklace, gave it to Sybil … and then ripped out her heart! Stefan and Damon have a serious conversation resulting in Damon stabbing Stefan.
In the end, we’re left with a disturbing and wonderful image: Stefan, the second his and Damon’s road trip into darkness passes the Mystic Falls city limits, turns himself into the Ripper within a matter of seconds, ready to unleash unheard destruction on the unworthy and hoping somebody will be there to bring him back when it’s all over.
