Aaron Rodgers reveals reason for entering mysterious tent
Green Bay gave up at least 30 points in each of its previous four games, including 89 in the past two. With upcoming games against the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys, who now have two MVP candidates on their team, it is entirely possible that the Lions enter their Week 17 matchup with the Packers with nine wins. The Packers have winnable home games against the Houston Texans (6-5) and Seattle Seahawks (7-3-1), who were held to five points by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and have not scored a touchdown in three games this season. NY hasn’t lost at home since Week 3, Dallas since Week 1.
“His positive attitude has been consistent through all this time, ” McCarthy said.
Matthews left briefly in the first quarter with a shoulder injury against the Eagles, but returned and played 44 defensive snaps.
So against the Eagles, Rodgers actually became one of the best allies for the defense. “That’s ultimately the goal, but we’ve got some work to”.

Jordan Matthews, Wentz’s top target, left the Eagles’ game against the Green Bay Packers with an ankle injury. The touchdown was a pass from Rodgers to Packers wide receiver Davante Adams and put Green Bay up 7-0.
Rodgers and the Packers were very effective on third down, converting 10 of their 14 attempts. That not only extended the lead to 24-13, but it was the first time this season a Packers running back had rushed for a touchdown.
“We had a certain way we wanted to play these guys, and our plays did an outstanding job executing it”, said coach Mike McCarthy about the win Tuesday with WTMJ Packers analyst Larry McCarren. “I was playing a little faster with the position change and everything, feeling good about what I was able to do on those first couple of plays”.
This was a much-needed win for the Packers, as they were definitely struggling prior to this victory. Obviously, Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb, Ty Montgomery is a great special teams player for them. It ended up not hurting the Packers – after a penalty on Philadelphia in punt formation, the Packers went for it and converted on fourth down – but you can bet it will come up in the postgame film review.
