Instagram Live Now Available To All Users In The US
Instagram live videos give marketers another channel to connect and interact with audiences.
Facebook, for the first time, is combining the formats through tomorrow’s launch of Live 360, which is set to feature National Geographic video from the Mars Desert Research Station in Utah.
The Live features can be found in Instagram stories, and you can get them by swiping into the Stories camera area and then tapping the “Live” mode. That’ll show you the most popular live videos broadcasting right at that very moment. All these perks are unbelievable, but the best part of Instagram Live is that it’s free, and you don’t need to update anything. Unlike Snapchat, which only showcases videos of accounts a user is already following, Instagram’s discovery section will also let users browse live videos while they’re broadcasting.
Live broadcasts will last up to an hour at a time, so plan accordingly. You can tap it if you want to go live and share it with your friends.
Livestreaming video is one of the must-add features for social networks this year, just behind a healthy dose of fake news. Later in September, it began rolling out 360 videos for its users.
The disappearing photos and videos option starts rolling out today, although Instagram didn’t offer a timeframe for when it would reach all users.
But if you’re a Snapchat fan, this disappearing act may be more up your alley. Facebook’s first live 360 broadcast also will include a Q&A with a lineup of experts, writers and thinkers, who will take questions from Facebook users around the world. This new feature will seriously change the way we communicate! To see what’s really popping across the world, just click the Explore tab to see a curated group of Top Live stories.
