Chris Harris fumes over Harry Douglas’ ‘dirty’ hit
“I can’t even say what I was yelling”, Harris said. “But I’ll take my opinion to the league and deal with it from that standpoint”.
“I’m a tough player”. He admitted to having his career flash before his eyes, especially because he tore his ACL during the 2013 season. Harris was down on the field for a couple minutes before walking off and returning quickly.
“First of all, that’s a clean play”, Douglas said. “I can see if they were both full speed ahead, and the guy tries to make a block to spring his guy, but he was jogging and Chris Harris Jr. was jogging”.
Defensive end Derek Wolfe didn’t hesitate to call the entire Titans offensive line dirty, per Andrew Mason of the Broncos’ official website. Harris went to the ground, clutching his knee, and after a few moments walked to the Broncos bench with the team’s trainers.
Can’t Get open so let’s just take 25 out the game. “No, I have no problem with it”. Tennessee coach Mike Mularkey said he didn’t see the block. Because that’s a man, I’m hitting you in your mouth. If you aim at the knee, you’re going to probably miss and whiff and go down by the ankles.
“You cut somebody’s knees, and they’re not paying any attention to you, that ain’t right”, said outside linebacker Shane Ray.
While the Broncos can take pride in the fact they limited Douglas’ impact, Tennessee got the last laugh with the victory thanks to a strong performance from its own defense. The Broncos felt it was more than that. The Titans sideline eventually got involved, and the two were broken up with Aqib being flagged for a personal foul in the process. Talib and Douglas are represented by the same agent.
Harris saved his postgame commentary for his Twitter feed. “It was a run play with me and him looking at each other, and I cut blocked him”, Douglas said. That’s why we play the game.
Douglas continued to insist that it was football.
An action of Talib’s that is less justifiable, though: possibly costing his team the game on the very next play. “Us not getting the win, it hurts”.
