Facebook Messenger takes on Snapchat with new camera features
In order to access the new features, a user needs to tap the camera button on the app. By replicating Snapchat’s features, Facebook is now hoping to get more users to switch from Snapchat.
The new feature will allow United Kingdom users to link their Visa or Mastercard account to their Facebook accounts, allowing both peer-to-peer payments or charitable donations to be made quickly and efficiently, which will prove very useful for many.
Facebook has added thousands of stickers, frames, masks and effects to the app, which you can personalize as you wish. However, Facebook is not entirely copying ideas from Snapchat and other apps, as it comes with lots of improvements that make competitors envious.
Facebook’s replicating of features from rival social app Snapchat has continued with Facebook Messenger introducing a camera to the app for users to send visual messages. Rather than launching the camera, the shutter button now lives right at the bottom of your display, making it simple to snap a shot.
The new Facebook Messenger camera basically allows you to directly take photos and videos from the app rather than depend on your native camera to do the work.
The feature will be rolled to all Android and iOS devices with an update soon.
Messenger’s camera can make an infinite number of overlaid graphics to jazz up your photos and videos. Some of the filters include reindeer or you can play with falling snow.
Facebook really wants you to hang out and talk about your feelings. However, Facebook apparently took it to the next level by adding several new gimmicks on it.
Facebook said it worked with various artists and influencers, adding their own personal touches to the app.
Messenger is all about capturing a moment.
