Saw Gerrera Set to Return in ‘Star Wars Rebels’
It was the most challenging droid-driving I’ve ever done. More gently than its predecessors, the film touches on each of the enduring Star Wars themes – a child’s need to find good in an apparently evil parent; the existence, at every moment, of freedom of choice; and the possibility of redemption, even for those who have done frightful things.
Davis sees the potential for a new prequel series if the third standalone film follows suit “in that same era”. You can spot the character on the left side of the photo below. Jones brings the same level of competent acting skills to the franchise that Daisy Ridley brought past year in The Force Awakens (and they both have awesome English accents).
Williams’ music will next be heard in “Star Wars: Episode VIII”, scheduled to open December 15, 2017. “I’m true to my word and I didn’t say anything”.
Pass: The filmmakers succeeded in making yet another Star Wars film that has numerous same elements of the original trilogy without relying so heavily on special effects. The film does a great job of tethering itself to the rest of the franchise with plenty of nods to the original trilogy (especially A New Hope).
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is all the rage right now. In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction. The company rolled out three separate displays: a Rogue One costume display, a 360-degree Star Wars virtual display and a media campaign on airport displays.
What are you hoping to see at Star Wars Celebration 2017?
That could not have been farther from the truth. Disney has enjoyed a strong box office success this year, with four of the five highest grossing movies of 2016. “You walk out of the studio and, ‘Ah, it’s finished'”. No, not in my personal opinion, and it doesn’t outdo “The Force Awakens“, and there are specific reasons for that.
There was a time when we had to wait many years for our Star Wars fixes. Fans with decades-old questions might receive some answers after watching this film.
The movie set out to build on an already existing universe and it did that perfectly while introducing new planets, aliens, droids and a number of different elements that elaborated on an already existing story. I found it the best way to promote it and to connect to the audience, and since then it’s been very helpful. A corny unneeded speech here and there, one or two too quick dramatic scenes and it could use a small break in between to help with pacing and timing of the movie, but these things do not deduct enough from the movie to make it feel hollow or inauthentic.
