NORAD Santa Tracker 2016
Santa Claus is coming to town! Once the quintessential Santa tracker, it now faces stiff competition from Google. Thank you for the jacket and gloves and I have been very good this year.
The NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) tracker is a little different, but ultimately achieves the same goal of tracking Santa on Christmas.
This year, there are four new games available only on the Android app. Try your hand at the new geolocation game Present Quest and see how many of Santa’s misplaced gifts you can recover. “You can also stream Santa’s journey on your TV using Chromecast”. Jennifer Stadnyk said, according to Aiken Standard.
The NORAD Santa tracker is an annual tradition that started by accident.
How do presents get delivered all over the world in one night?
Whether it’s paying it forward waiting in line for gasoline or coffee, or simply making some act of kindness, Santa encouraged people to “be better” in 2017. “We also have satellites at about 22,000 miles above the Earth”. “Radars have infrared capabilities and with that we’re able to track the heat off of Rudolph’s bright-red nose”.
NORAD does not offer any mobile apps or fancy personal assistants to help you with tracking Santa, but its web app is fully mobile friendly. You can access the social handles on their website (refer back to #1). Both have interactive maps and follow the latest Santa sightings.
This is SO cool! Now you can track his progress as he delivers toys to boys and girls everywhere. Tapping the blue Santa icon in the bottom right of the screen offers up more details about the region, including a live video feed and an arrival time for Santa’s next stop as well as the user’s current location.
Kids need something to believe in, whether it’s Santa Claus, fairies, the Easter Bunny, Superman, a deity or fairytales, because believing in something magical will teach them to believe in themselves.
