The First ‘Alien: Covenant’ Trailer Is A Terrifying Holiday Treat
When I first saw the original Alien, I didn’t even know what I was about to see, I had never seen a trailer or anything.
Earlier this month, Yahoo Movies had the opportunity to preview some footage from Alien: Covenant at a press event in New York City, which included a brief Q&A with Waterston. For those who thought 2012’s Prometheus was confusing, Scott says this film will provide some answers.
The movie is scheduled to hit USA theaters on May 19, 2017.
So, it was an exciting prospect when it was announced that Michael Fassbender was reprising his role as David in the upcoming Alien: Covenant.
Empire debuted the new Katherine Waterston photo, with the publication also speaking to Michael Fassbender, who would only state that this film will be “really, really scary”.
Directed by Sir Ridley Scott from a screenplay by Jack Paglen (Transcendence) and Michael Green (Green Lantern), Alien: Covenant stars Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce, Noomi Rapace, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demian Bichir and James Franco.
Watch the entire trailer – including a shower sex scene that turns bloody – below.

According to the actress, Ridley Scott used both practical effects and CGI in creating the Neomorphs, but Scott used more of the former than the latter, which helped the actors react with more sincerity. “It’s much scarier than Prometheus but it’s got the same sort of scope of Prometheus”.
