‘Dangal’ mints over Rs 29 crore on Day 1

Dangal could have been Aamir Khan’s vanity project. Dangal is a biogrpahical stroy of a real boxer who was a national level boxer but didn’t achieve medal. However, when two of his daughters, Geeta and Babita, come home after beating up two boys, Phogat realizes how wrong he has been and begins to train his daughters in wrestling.

Interestingly, if we go by the box office collections, the Aamir starrer is witnessing a tough competition from Salman Khan’s “Sultan” which too was based on wrestling. The overseas market is equally buoyant with Rs 28.49 crores in collections. Please do watch this movie and it will inspire u and also give u a glimpse of Amir’ s dedication he put in his every movie.

Definitely, Dangal will stand among the films to cross Rs 100 crores in Bollywood.

The film, which released across 4000 screens across India, has already managed to collect Rs 29.78 crore on day one, including Rs 59 lakh from its Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions.

In the coming days also, it will also continue to shake the box office.

Disclosing the first-day collections, Taran Adarsh and Komal Nahta wrote on Twitter, “Dangal wrestles demonetisation”.

Yesterday, Salman’s family caught the special screening of the film and they loved Dangal much more than Sultan! The characters of Geeta and Babita Phogat were essayed by Fatima Sana Sheikh and Sanya Malhotra, respectively. Nitesh Tiwari, the director, he will now create a big space for himself as the directors mainstream Bollywood movies. Sakshi Tanwar is in a role of Mahavir’s wife. Khan, who invited their real-life counterparts to a Satyamev Jayate episode in 2014, restraints to make this film an extension of it, instead lets Mahavir’s powerful emotions do the preaching about women empowerment.
