Onward! Hillary Clinton Looks Forward to 2017

She would have picked up 20,000 more votes in New Jersey, while Trump would have gained only 15,000 in the deep red state of SC.

Contrary to early reports, Trump ended up receiving two million more votes than Mitt Romney did in 2012. I voted for Trump because his wife would be one good looking First Lady. At the end of the campaign, polls showed voters found her less honest than even Donald Trump. To those who wonder how on earth Trump won, the answer is simple.

Detractors say the college distorts political reality – for example, giving proportionally more voting power to Wyoming, with three votes and about 586,000 people, than California, with 55 votes and about 38.8 million people. As Americans, I think we can do better next time. The people didn’t like the way the country is going, so they wanted to change it. Democrats need to get a grip and move on. Eight in ten Trump voters disagree. Donald Trump may have proclaimed that President Obama was born in the United States (having doubted that for years), but half of his supporters still think that it is at least probably true that the President was born in Kenya. Which is something I whole heartedly believe in, however, when these electors are chosen for office they win based on the POPULAR vote, not some system that adjusts the rules to benefit in a way that some might deem questionable. That threw the decision to the House of Representatives, which gave the presidency to Adams in what Jackson’s supporters famously labeled a “corrupt bargain”.

There were plenty of signs from the start that Hillary Clinton’s candidacy and campaign wouldn’t be all it was cracked up to be.

In the end Mr. Trump, in addition to holding the allegiance of conservatives anxious about the Supreme Court, gained strong support among disaffected white working class voters in swing states who were willing to give Mr. Trump a chance to make America great again.

Nonetheless, there were a few bright spots for Democrats. Clinton lied about using just one device for emails; about no classified information being sent from her private server; that the Benghazi massacre resulted from a web video. And 1st District DFL Rep. Tim Walz narrowly won re-election, despite Trump winning big in the district. The Democratic Party is making a huge mistake by repeatedly propping up people and candidates who too often lack the courage of their convictions – particularly as it pertains to fighting for people of color.

“Do we agree on one reason?”. Work is already underway to reach out to different groups in the community, connect with DFL groups across southeast Minnesota and fundraise for 2018.

They watched a steady stream of jobs exit America and a steady stream of illegal immigrants pour in. They interviewed late deciding voters who said the Comey letter wasn’t the deciding factor the Clinton camp made it out to be.

I also ranked the four candidates’ popular vote totals in each state to see if I could spot any patterns. But letting the popular vote decide it will not magically produce a mandate for whoever wins an election. “It’s actually governing and leading that’s hard”.
