Robert Griffin III: RG3 throws first TD passes of season in loss
Browns CBs Joe Haden (19 interceptions, 100 passes defended) and Tramon Williams (20 interceptions, 97 passes defended) are two of four players in the National Football League with 15 or more interceptions and 95 or passes defended since 2010…. Though the rate at which these sorts of things happen to the Browns makes one wonder what they did to inherit such bad luck.
That won’t be the case on Sunday when the AFC North champions host Miami. The Steelers declined his fifth-year option and benched him for a reason. “We have to continue to evaluate and go through it, but I know that’s what that particular position has to have”.

Long, long ago, nearly too many administrations to count, the Browns picked first in 1999 and 2000. For the most part, they kept the Steelers one-dimensional.
Landry Jones threw a 26-yard touchdown pass to Cobi Hamilton in overtime and the Steelers, in a game that meant nothing to them, won their seventh in a row by rallying past the mistake-prone Browns 27-24 on Sunday, after Cleveland blew a two-touchdown lead and two chances to win the game.
The list goes on and on. But the finale included disappointment as he fumbled on the 3-yard line with 56 seconds left as the Browns were going in for the go-ahead score.
It was that kind of day for the defense, which allowed the Browns to rush for 231 yards, including a 5-yard touchdown by George Atkinson III to tie the game, 21-21, late in the fourth quarter.
If quarterback Robert Griffin III cannot play because of a concussion, the Browns will go with rookie Cody Kessler, who is looking to show he can be the everyday starter. We all understand here is the next opportunity and can we go do this.
The offense isn’t the only group that’s found a way to stay out of the trainer’s room. Tight end Ladarius Green and defensive end Stephon Tuitt sat out with injuries that should be healed enough for the postseason. “I think that’s extremely important for everyone to know”, he said. Maintaining continuity with Jackson makes sense then, especially since he wasn’t given the tools to put a winning team on the field this season.
No one had seen Williams run with such success since Week 2.

Following a quick three-and-out by the Steelers, Cleveland looked poised to escape with the win, when Griffin connected with receiver Terrell Pryor on a 43-yard pass down to the five with only 1:12 remaining. There was also a miscommunication on a play that set up Pittsburgh inside Browns territory.
That won’t be a problem on Sunday. A win would still be nice for the team’s morale, but it wouldn’t serve as some sort of justice against a Steelers team wanting to get this game over with so the playoffs can start. “You’re never going to worry about a guy like DeAngelo”. We’ve got work to do.
