Heartfelt Ryan Gosling Speech Gets a Lot of Love
While the Ryan Gosling was walking up the stage to receive the award, Ryan Reynolds couldn’t take the snub, jokingly and found solace in former The Amazing Spider-Man star Andrew Garfield.
The 34-year-old began his acceptance speech by joking about the common mix-up between him and fellow Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds before he thanked his co-star, Emma Stone, and “La La Land’s” writer and director, Damien Chazelle. He dedicated his Golden Globe win to Eva Mendes’ late brother! Eva did not attend the show with Ryan and instead stayed home with their two children – daughter Esmeralda Amada, 2, and Amada Lee, 8 months.
Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes have taken a very under-the-radar approach to their romantic relationship, which stems back to their collaboration on 2012’s The Place Beyond the Pines.
Gosling then looked straight into the camera and said, “So, sweetheart, thank you”.
However, at the Globes last night, Ryan Gosling clinched the award for his role in La La Land.
“Obviously this wasn’t my favorite moment of the night, ” she wrote.
Morgan replied: “I said two STRAIGHT men snogging each other at an awards ceremony on TV seemed a bit weird”.
‘The Crown” stole a surprise win as Best TV Drama, beating more established shows including “Game of Thrones” and “Transparent’. As friends and rivals, they bring a unique dynamic to the comics whenever they’re paired off together, they’re similar in nature, and they have great chemistry with each other (although Deadpool appears to have chemistry with everyone). I mean, who doesn’t love a good nipple slip?
One person who was a little aghast: Emma Stone, Garfield’s ex-girlfriend, who was asked backstage about the sweet moment.
