Kim Kardashian Was Reportedly Robbed by Someone Close to Her

The incident had stunned the entire industry as it posed serious questions on security. The only piece of jewellery Kim seemed to be wearing for her sushi outing was a lip ring.

The robbers made off with her 20-carat Lorraine Schwartz engagement ring worth £3.5 and a case of jewelry with a value of £5.24m.

Per Le Monde, the five masked men who entered the reality star’s private residence are among the 17 people arrested on Monday, January 9.

French daily newspaper Le Monde reports that one of the people in custody is a chauffeur with the luxury vehicle company that the Kardashians were using at the time, and that he was the person who drove Kim home on the night of her robbery. Barrister Jean Veil, who is the lawyer of Kim Kardashian, said in the report.

The oldest suspect held is a 72-year-old man while the youngest is in his early 20s. Authorities said police seized weapons and a large amount of cash in multiple raids that took placed starting around 6 a.m.in different locations in the Paris region and the south of France. It was unclear where Kardashian West was at the time she learned the news. She initially was just too shocked and traumatised to deal with anything but her kids.
