Steelers Coach Mike Tomlin Calls Patriots ‘A-Holes’
Brown and the Steelers head to Foxboro next weekend for the AFC Championship game.
Tomlin will meet the media again on Tuesday to discuss the upcoming game against the Patriots and you can bet he’ll be asked about the video as well.
“I have no problem with it”, Steelers left guard Ramon Foster said Monday. “But this is a changing world, a changing environment”. Yeah, I’m sure that fell on the deaf ears of No. 84.
Tomlin is not seen in the video, but he can be heard around the corner from Brown’s stall.
The video has since been taken down, but is still on online.
Brady also said what’s done in the locker room, should stay in the locker room.
“I think there are some things that are kind of sacred”, long snapper Greg Warren said. That’s simply what that was.
Something tells me that these guys wanted to make it to the Super Bowl before Tomlin opened his mouth. “We’re gonna give them our best game no matter what words were said”.
Safe to say this wouldn’t happen in New England. Others, who were covered only by a towel while changing, might have been unaware what he was filming.
Backup Landry Jones was steady if not spectacular, throwing for 281 yards with a touchdown and an interception. They [the Patriots] played yesterday. He’s already creating the underdog narrative by pointing out that New England has a day-and-a-half more to rest and prepare, having played on Saturday afternoon. “Let’s start our preparations”, Tomlin told the team in the video, which was recorded after the Steelers’ playoff victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.
As the team is called together for a postgame prayer, Brown keeps the camera rolling. “The rest don’t matter”.
You then hear Ben Roethlisberger and Ramon Foster talk about conducting themselves wisely throughout the week, especially on social media. “Those odds are for people that bet on the game”. We look at him as a clutch player on this team.
