Israel has been revoking Palestinians’ residency , demolishing their homes , and building illegal settlements for Israeli Jews to live on by threat of violence .
Earlier Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he was lifting restrictions as approval was given for hundreds of new homes. “I’m going to come out here and tell you the facts as I know them and if we make a mistake, we’ll do our best to correct it”.

The housing projects, on land the Palestinians seek as part of a future state, had been taken off the Jerusalem municipality’s agenda in December at the last minute at the request of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in order to avoid further censure from the administration of Barack Obama. Negotiations broke down in 2014.
