Aguero says he will stay and fight for future at Man City
Jesus saves City Meanwhile, Gabriel Jesus spoke of his delight after crown ing his full home debut for Manchester City with a matchwinning brace in Sunday’s 2-1 Premier League victory over Swansea City.
“Now we have Gabriel Jesus, who played the last two games and did really well”.
City manager Pep Guardiola said Aguero was an important member of the squad but added that “it must not be easy” for the Argentina striker.
“He’s going to say “actually I’m going to leave you out” and a player like Aguero – he doesn’t want to be sitting on the bench”. “Everybody is a bit surprised by his level”.
He also said that players being benched happens sometimes and that he will have to wait for his opportunity to come.
“In these [next] three months I have to help the club and then they will decide if I have a place here or not”.
“I think we can all see and get the feeling that there is something very positive happening and we just have to build on that”.
Now there’s a new striker on the scene. Check out five facts about the Brazil global. At the same time, Aguero has 18 goals already this season and is one of the best strikers in the world.
Swansea – who have recently enjoyed wins over Liverpool and Southampton – remain a point above the relegation spots.
And while Aguero has 18 goals in 26 matches and Iheanacho has done pretty well as a reserve, Guardiola has opted for young Brazilian sensation Gabriel Jesus since his arrival from Palmeiras in January.
Crystal Palace fans breathed a huge sigh of relief this afternoon as Manchester City stopped another team from edging away from the bottom three. “The gap (in performance) between the first and second half was too big”.
The hosts made a lively start to the second period with City goalkeeper Willy Caballero palming Sigurdsson’s free kick onto the post. It’s not the first time he’s been dropped. The Iceland global is lethal from that range and his low, left-footed shot flew past Caballero.
Gabriel Jesus is not the only youngster making waves at City, though, with Toure delighted to see the likes of Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling offering further optimism for the future. “I am here and everyone in the club has helped me and try to help me get better every day”.
