Patriots steal Super Bowl LI in dramatic fashion
Wow! Rarely does a sporting event leave me completely speechless, yet Super Bowl LI accomplished that and then some.
Five-time champion Tom Brady had no time for his teammates after his big Super Bowl win on Sunday, choosing to fly back to Boston on a private jet with his fsamily and supermodel wife Gisele rather than taking the team plane. Kovacs is a fan of the New York Giants, but made a decision to root for the Falcons after her favorite team was eliminated in the first round of the playoffs.
Patriots quarterback Tom Brady revealed his wife told him to retire at least three times the day after he led his team to a historic comeback Super Bowl LI victory – and he had the ideal response. But even in the land of the Falcons, people can legitimately take pride in a team that thoroughly outplayed and befuddled an excellent New England team in the first half and totally took Tom Brady out of his comfort zone. The Atlanta defense set the tone early, sacking Brady twice in the first quarter. Danny Amendola, who’s had a fairly quiet 2016 campaign was heavily involved, 8 catches 78 yards and a touchdown. The missed extra point by kicker Stephen Gostkowski actually gives Atlanta life. No auction house would sell something stolen; maybe this is like one of those priceless paintings that is stolen and never turns up. “We are going to look at everybody who had access to that locker room”. So was the sack he shared with Kyle Van Noy for a nine-yard loss. The Falcons were a Devonta Freeman block away from stopping Dont’a Hightower from forcing a Matt Ryan fumble. One team will come out on top, and odds are stacked in favor of Terrific Tom hoisting the trophy when it is all said and done.
In the fourth quarter, everything broke the Patriots’ way.
Less than six quarters into the regular season, a bad situation turned even worse: Brady’s backup, Jimmy Garoppolo, who – dare we say – had been playing like the man he’d replaced, left the field with his shoulder slumped after being driven into the ground by Miami Dolphins linebacker Kiko Alonso. Offensive and defensive plays result in 19 points.
The No. 12 jersey went missing mere minutes after Brady took it off and change to prepare for media obligations after the historic overtime victory over the Atlanta Falcons Sunday. Belichick obviously learned from others’ mistakes. The Patriot’s comeback, led by Tom Brady, James White and company, was huge. Edelman somehow was able to get his hands on a deflected pass that bounced off a Falcons player’s knee and shin. “They’re tough, and they can compete”.

Down by eight, it’s first and 10 on their 36-yard line. The ball appears to hit the turf, but the review determines that it’s a catch. We’re less than a week removed from the game now, and that mind-blowing finish still makes Super Bowl LI the game to end all games. Alan Branch of the Patriots recovered the ball and, for the first time, you could really feel a momentum shift. “I don’t think he does”.
Tom terrific tied it up and when overtime rolled around, the Patriots won the toss and chose to take the ball, those same people knew this game was over and four minutes later it was.
