Bethesda Currently Has 3 New Games In The Works
In a recent interview with the gaming site IGN, director Howard said that all of the Bethesda projects are now in the various stages of game development. But it’s hard to complain when you look at the depth and scale in each of its AAA projects.
Since it’s been a while since Skyrim’s 2011 release, it’d be natural to assume that the next Elder Scrolls installment is one of these two big titles. The whole team is trying to experiment on what should be added to make the game more exciting compared to its original game.
Fortunately, according to Bethesda Game Studios executive producer Todd Howard, the studio does indeed have projects in the pipeline, and big ones too. “I think Skyrim is a little bit more of ‘find your own way.’ It’s more inviting for the type of character you want to play”.
Later in the interview, Todd Howard compared the two games, claiming that Skyrim gives the player the option to forge their own stories, creating an adventure for the player that they have more control over. We can only hope for them to be worthwhile, especially when they are stretching the waiting time for Elder Scrolls 6. Going on later to say they were bigger than anything done previously by Bethesda. In an interview with Glixel, he confirmed that the studio now has three large projects in the works, including two “classically Bethesda” games and a new mobile game.
Unfortunately, they aren’t ready to talk about any of them.
“There’s no content that we removed or changed [for VR]”, Howard said. The other is the announced Skyrim for Nintendo Switch. So far, we know that the studio is working on releasing a VR version of Fallout 4 as well as a new mobile game in addition to some large projects. “There isn’t something else we’re looking at for style”.
Bethesda is planning on converting the entirety of Fallout 4 into VR, and have made some signficant progress in that direction since the E3 demo.
