TV presenter Cilla Black dies aged 72
Sad news, we have reports in that Cilla Black has died in Spain, aged 72.
Entertainer Cilla Black has been found dead, aged 72, in her Spanish holiday home.
The celebrated TV personality is said to have died of natural causes while staying at her Spanish home on Sunday August 2nd.
It is not yet known what caused the showbiz veteran’s death, but the star is known to suffer from hearing problems and arthritis.
Born Priscilla Maria Veronica White on May 27, 1943 in Merseyside, Cilla’s career as a singer took off in the 1960s and was recently documented in ITV biopic Cilla, starring Sheridan Smith as the young singer.
The star hit the big time in the 1960s with her number one singles Anyone Who Had A Heart and You’re My World.
She leaves three sons, Robert, Ben and Jack, as well as two grandchildren behind.
Younger generations will know Cilla as Queen of Saturday night TV in her role as host of Blind Date and Surprise Surprise.
