Samsung was originally expected to announce the Galaxy S8 at MWC 2017, but confirmed that this wouldn’t be the case back in January. The new report acknowledges that Samsung has delayed availability of the Galaxy S8 by a week citing reasons such as size of supplies and others. Called “Book Settings”, the app is clearly made for yet unannounced Samsung Galaxy Book Windows 10 device.
The release of the short video teaser doesn’t comes as a surprise.
We’ll know for sure come March 29…
The Galaxy Book ships with either a 10.6-inch 1920 x 1280-pixel display and an Intel Core m3 processor, or a 12-inch 2160 x 1440-pixel display with the aforementioned Intel Core i5 chip. It will have a 64GB internal storage option, which will be expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card. The fingerprint scanner is going to be updated and it will operate on screen and it will make the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 the most technologically advanced device yet. MySmartPrice also reports that the tablet will feature four AKG-tuned loudspeakers (two at top and two at bottom of the device when held upright).
Samsung is expected to push the boundaries with the S8 and the video boasts that it’s time to “Unbox your phone” – suggesting a new design is coming to the S8. There’s also a good chance that Samsung will showcase a consumer-focused slate running on Android. The latter is not mentioned as part of the specs of the much-awaited smartphone nor is the processor which is speculated to be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. Of course this wireless charger will not be included with the Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus, it’ll be an extra purchase for those picking up those phones – it should also work with other Qi-enabled devices.
