Nokia 3310: Say hello (again) to the phone with the everlasting battery
The Finnish company announced a new version of the iconic 3310 on Sunday at this year’s Mobile World Congress.
The metal-clad Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 sport 5.2in FHD and 5in HD displays, respectively, and will be made available for €189 (around £160) and €139 (around £120), respectively. The Nokia 6 is priced at 229 Euros. Analysts said resurrecting the popular model was a clever way for HMD Global to re-launch Nokia’s brand.
Now a new report from Chinese website Vtech says that the latest rendition of the Nokia 3310 will drop the monochrome screen for a colour display. The re-released device will reportedly have “22 hours of talk time with a one-month battery life on standby” and, yes, Snake will be back as well, according to Wired. It’s expected many people will buy them as “second” phones for things like festivals. The revamped Nokia 3310 comes in four colours, shiny yellow and red colours and blue and grey with a matte finish. Its worldwide variant has a 5.5-inch display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, 4GB RAM+64GB storage, 16 MP rear camera+8MP front camera and 3000 mAh battery. The handset is based on the Nokia Series 30+ OS. It comes with 16MB storage and supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 32GB). The Nokia 3310 (2017) sports a 2-megapixel rear camera which can be considered as one of the biggest changes to the iconic handset.
Nokia with HMD Global has finally launched the Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 globally. Moreover, the game is also going to available in a new version on Facebook’s Messenger app. For more details, head over to official Nokia website.
