Nokia 3310 will have a camera
Nokia has re-released its classic 3310 model 17 years after it was first launched. Later, the IT major sold off the feature phone assets to Foxconn subsidiary FIH Mobile, and design rights and rights to use Nokia brand to Finnish company HMD Global Oy.
Nokia brand partner HMD Global launched Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 Android phones Global at the company’s Sunday launch event at MWC 2017.
Yesteryear mobile king, Nokia is once again in the news on the internet and social media. It also comes with 2G, FM Radio and Bluetooth 3.0 capabilities with Nokia’s SLAM technology. The new device claims to be the same in this segment, offering 22 hours of talk time and up to one month of standby time. We can conveniently call it as the most basic one in the lot.
The phone comes with a 2.4-inch QVHS (240×320 resolution) color display, which HMD says is “polarized and curved”.
Meanwhile the 5.2-inch 720p Nokia 5 has the same processor, but only 2GB of RAM. The smartphone is said to have a larger 5.7 inch quad HD display and will have Honor’s own Kirin chipset with at least 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
According to Vtech, a Chinese website, the 2017 Nokia 3310 will not have the old monochromatic screen, but will sport a color screen instead. However, here we’ll try to re-introduce the iconic phone and take you “back to future”.
They all run the latest version of Android, and the prices start at £117 for the Nokia 3, rising to £194 for the Nokia 6. The device comes dipped in four peppy colours – yellow, red, dark blue and grey. These models are priced between 139 to 299 euros.
Nokia at MWC 2017 has unveiled a series of Android smartphones after the introduction of the Nokia 6 at CES 2017. Expect countless durability test videos when the device is released in Q2 (April-June) this year for 49 euros, or around $52 U.S. There’s no metal on display for the Nokia 3, which also informs its asking price.
Like the 3210, the 3310 also allowed users to remove the front and back covers for a change of colour or design.
