‘Moonlight’ Wins Best Picture Oscar After ‘La La Land’ Mistakenly Announced

“I’m gonna be really proud to hand this to my friends from Moonlight”, Horowitz graciously said, and the rightful film’s cast and crew took the stage to accept their award. In the midst of it all, Warren Beatty stepped to the microphone to clarify that he had not done this intentionally.

But one of the most hilarious moments of the show was when Kimmel surprised a group of tourists on a Los Angeles tour of the city. Having already broken a record at the Golden Globes with seven wins, “La La Land” seems poised to take home many an award, including best picture.
