Emma Stone Wins ‘Best Actress In A Leading Role’ Oscar
Is it Emma Stone who should be blamed for the epic Oscars mix-up on Sunday night?
Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway incorrectly announced La La Land as the victor of Best Picture, when in reality, they were given the wrong envelope and it was actually Moonlight that had won.
The best movie of 2016 actually won best picture!
Generally speaking, the model did better than I expected.
She then curled small sections of hair around Stone’s head with a one-inch curling iron and let them sit for a few minutes before brushing them out with a paddle brush. What was Emma Stone’s pin at the 2017 Oscars? The 32 years old director of “La La Land”, Damien Chazelle, won the best feature prize at the Directors Guild of America Awards in February. And the producers of “La La Land” have given back their trophies to “Moonlight” crew before coming down from the stage. I’m afraid they read the wrong thing.
Neil Patrick Harris went on to prove it was not Warren Beatty’s fault either, with a tweet that showed he had the wrong envelope. I think it’s one of the best films of all time.
Best supporting actress: Viola Davis, “Fences”; Naomie Harris, “Moonlight”; Nicole Kidman, “Lion”; Octavia Spencer, “Hidden Figures”; Michelle Williams, “Manchester by the Sea”.
After snagging all seven of the rewards it was nominated on Golden Global in January, it led 14 nominations for the 89th Oscar and tied the record of nomination numbers held by “All About Eve” and “Titanic”. The singer has won nine Brit awards, a Golden Globe, 15 Grammy awards including the handful she just took home for her album 25, and of course, an Academy Award.
Stone took the opportunity to show her support for women’s rights by rocking a gold Planned Parenthood pin on her left shoulder (Dakota Johnson sported the same pin on her Gucci clutch, as well).
Next up for the star is a Netflix series opposite Jonah Hill and, according to IMDB, five future films, including one as tennis champion Billie Jean King and as 101 Dalmatians villain Cruella de Vil. I mean it feels like my hard work has paid off, but at the same time I still have the impostor, you know, syndrome.
Early on the festival circuit, Stone was widely seen as the front-runner in the uncharacteristically crowded Best Actress race. They did not have the opportunity to give a full speech like another victor, Emma Stone. Such a shame for Moonlight.
PricewaterhouseCoopers was in charge of Oscar 2017 accounts. “It’s incredible to walk away a year and a half after doing this project and have Oscar awards as a result”, he told Robach.
“To all the people that worked on this movie, I’m going to find you all individually and I’m going to thank you”. At the same time, it vowed to carry out an investigation into the mix up. We’re guessing it looks a little more organised than our bedrooms do when our group of girls are getting ready for a night out (i.e. chaos), but, maybe not. I wanted to see the card.
