MWC: Huawei unveils P10 and P10 Plus smartphones
Both the phones have Diamond-Cut finishing which is complemented with refined sandblast and high gloss finishes. The Huawei P10 Plus will release in Greenery, Ceramic White, Dazzling Blue, Graphite Black, Dazzling Gold, Mystic Silver and Rose Gold colors. The phone lacks a physical Home button, so the fingerprint reader has been relocated on the back side. The Huawei P10 and P10 Plus has the fingerprint scanner moved to the rear than the front.
At the front, we get a Leica-branded 8-megapixel selfie camera as well with Adaptive Selfie technology. Though the camera performance of the smartphone was widely praised. The rear unit sports a 20MP monochrome sensor and a 12MP sensor for colours.
Like its predecessor the Huawei P9, it features a LEICA dual camera modules design, except that the two modules are not identical this time: the monochrome sensor is 20 Megapixel while the RGB sensor is 12 Megapixel.
The new front camera allows anyone to capture flawless portrait photography in Leica image style whilst the rear camera captures facial features with incredible detail, bringing your photos vividly to life.
Huawei’s latest flagships support 3D facial recognition and optical image stabilization (OIS) on videos and photos taken with the main cameras. As with the P9 and P9+, the new P10 phones come in two sizes. To that end, both phones feature a front-facing 8-megapixel shooter with an f/1.9 aperture made by Leica.
Huawei also unveiled its second-edition smartwatch, the Huawei Watch 2.
