Tornado watch in effect until 10 pm Tuesday
A Tornado Warning has been issued for Franklin County, Hamilton and Jefferson Counties in IL until 9:45 p.m. “There is an enhanced risk for severe weather associated with this system”. Some areas are under a Tornado Watch.
Occasional showers will move through Tuesday ahead of a warm front.
Golf ball-sized hail fell near Edwardsville according to a BND reporter. Some could be strong to severe with the possibility for damaging winds and hail along with an isolated tornado.
The severe storms are most likely in the orange area from OH to Alabama.
