Samsung Galaxy S8 launch date revealed
Coming from camp Samsung is one of the biggest launches of Mobile World Congress 2017 (MWC 2017)- Galaxy Tab S3 with S Pen stylus. This will be the first major smartphone launch for Samsung since the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco, so the company is certainly hoping that its upcoming Android flagship will help it bounce back and recover from recent troubles.
Samsung didn’t really catch the lime light at MWC 2017 as the launch of Smasung Galaxy S8 is made a decision to be on March 29.
The Samsung event highlighted three particular product updates, two of which are tablets. You won’t need to charge it or pair it with tablet separately. As expected, it’s a brand new tablet. And the other two are the updates to two older tablets, the Galaxy Tab S3 and the Galaxy Book. The device supports video recording in full HD and 4K video playback. When it comes to internal components, the Galaxy S8 will feature Snapdragon 835 SoC, 4GB of RAM and an iris scanner for enhanced security. If you have observed keenly the Galaxy Tab S3 seems to be rivaling the iPad Pro with the same set of functionalities and features including the 9.7-inch display.
The Galaxy Tab S3 will support a detachable keyboard but this will be an optional accessory.
The device weighs a scant 429 grams and comes in silver or black, with an aluminum frame. It comes in 10.6-inch and 12-inch display versions and utilises the Windows 10 operating system. On the software front, both smartphones are likely to run on Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box with a layer of TouchWiz UI on top. The new Galaxy Book family comes with two different devices: the Galaxy Book 10 and the Galaxy Book 12. The larger model offers advanced features, deploying a Super AMOLED display and powered by the Intel Kaby Lake Core i5 processor, clocked at 3.1 GHz.
GPS + GLONASS. The 12-inch Galaxy Book also gets a bunch of sensors including an accelerometer, hall and light sensors. According to reports one cool feature of the S Pen is that it can detect the angle the user writes at.
The foldable keyboard cover can be used as a stand in various positions and has several levels of backlighting.
