YouTube Will Soon Launch a Streaming TV Service
And there are no commitments, people can cancel at anytime. In addition to broadcast networks, the lineup will be made up of USA, FX, Freeform, ESPN, Fox Sports and more. You can go to tv.youtube.com to be notified when it launches. The service will cost $35 a month and will allow up to six accounts of access.
One of YouTube TV’s most attractive features is an unlimited storage cloud DVR. The service will work on computers, iOS and Android devices, and Google Chromecast devices and TVs.
Dubbed as YouTube TV, it is an internet-based television service that will offer access up to 40 cable networks. YouTube just announced that it would be offering users who don’t have or are thinking about cutting their cable plans an alternative so that they could continue watching their favorite programs without being beholden to exorbitant monthly fees. While some restrictions may appear, such as sports games blocked on mobile, but available on other platforms, such as TV or desktop, most content will be available across all platforms. YouTube videos can entertain us for hours but the company is now planning to keep us even more entertained.
Essentially, YouTube TV will allow you the ability to live and record content from major TV network.
Let’s face it. There are a lot of streaming services already available right now, so what could make YouTube TV stand out from the rest?
“We’re bringing the best of the YouTube experience to live TV”, YouTube announced today.
One of the main benefits is cloud storage.
At the press event, YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki discussed consumers’ changing TV viewing habits, especially among millennial viewers. Visit tv.youtube.com and sign up to find out when the service will launch in your market.
The service will launch first in major U.S. markets where local television content can be provided, with YouTube working to quickly expand availability, according to Wojcicki.
