New immigration laws will raise wages, help the unemployed: Donald Trump
For many, President Donald Trump’s speech to Congress Tuesday night boasted compassion and idealistic ideas, but in truth, the lack of comprehensive plans, inclusivity and practicality came across as empty promises. It was three weeks ago that he insulted a federal judge for ruling against his immigration ban, and just over a month ago that he fired acting Attorney General Sally Yates for choosing to abide the law over him.
Details have not been released of Trump’s plans to overhaul Obamacare or how he’ll pay to rebuild USA roads and bridges.
Practice makes ideal, it is said.
Trump also said he believes President Barack Obama is behind some of the protests against Republican lawmakers across the country.
Trump had been asked by his National Security Adviser HR McMaster to avoid using the term “radical Islamic terrorism” but it risked turning Muslims “into the enemy”.
How can this new, but somewhat unhinged president, say so many words, and end up having said nothing definitively? “As we speak, we are removing gang members, drug dealers and criminals that threaten our communities and prey on our citizens”, Trump said. “No more money.’ Instead of coming here, let them stay in Mexico and build up Mexico”. “I feel like, tonight, Donald Trump became the President of the United States”, Wallace opined.
Ms Trump’s brand, which she has stepped down from, has taken a hit since increasing numbers of Trump critics have boycotted her clothing and accessories line.
Said Mr Spicer: “He will invite Americans of all backgrounds to come together in the service of a stronger and brighter future for our nation”.
“I appreciate the President’s condemnation of the anti-Semitic attacks targeting Jewish institutions, but one speech is not enough”, Deutch said in a statement. “I feel the country is so divided racially”. And boy! Does Twitter have a lot to say about it. POTUS may have spoken about immigration and the construction of a “great, great wall” between the U.S. and Mexico, but Twitter can not stop itself from trolling the President over the clips showing him practicing his speech.
“Growth in the economy is ultimately the way a lot of this changes”, said Sen. The soft opening quickly transitioned into a reiteration of Trump’s harsh “America First” agenda, and once he got there his language got considerably darker. The speech earned the president good reviews from his fellow Republicans, a number of political pundits and a good portion of the American people.
Republicans see cutting entitlements as essential to balancing the books as they comprise almost 60 per cent of federal spending, rising to 82 per cent in the next 10 years.
And she wants him to tell them he will act on the issues in government that a successful business executive is equipped to fix.
The president spent relatively little of his time on foreign policy, and most of his comments were familiar tropes about American leadership. “I just can’t sit by and say everything is hunky dory and it’s just business as usual”.
“I pay a ton of taxes every month”, Welch said. Several representatives, including Eliot Engel, a Democrat from NY, chose not to sit on the aisle and shake the president’s hand.
Carryn Owens, left, widow of Senior Chief Petty Officer William “Ryan” Owens, reacts as Ivanka Trump, daughter of President Donald Trump, and her husband Jared Kushner, right, applaud after Owens was mentioned by President Trump.
“I wish he wasn’t so me-me-me”, said Welch. Namely, his focus on himself and his crowing about what he insists was his huge Electoral College victory.
