‘Shoot Down Anti-Nationals’ Slogans Raised At ABVP Protest In Delhi
The National Human Rights Commission on Tuesday sought a report from the Delhi Police Commissioner over charges of excesses outside Ramjas College in Delhi University last week. He also met Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal to demand strict action against those behind the incident.
“Anti-national slogans were raised on the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) campus by some communist cadres past year”.
Police are trying to identify the other students who were involved in the alleged attack on the AISA activists. The most anti-national thing today is threatening your own people, giving women rape threats, disrespecting the law and order of the country and taking laws in your own hand. He wasn’t a member of a student organisation, he said, nor does he know much about political ideologies.
It wasn’t just the ABVP’s actions at the Ramjas event that upset the marchers.
“ABVP Down Down”, “ABVP Go Back” and “ABVP Dont be so Creepy” were among the slogans the students kept raising.
On Monday, ABVP’s Mumbai University wing initiated a social media campaign urging young students from the varsity and its affiliated colleges to come in support of their counterparts in Delhi.
Khalid was jailed previous year for allegedly shouting anti-national slogans.
Former JNU student leader Kanhaiya Kumar also joined the protest.
Another teacher, Avinash, added: “This is not about ABVP, this is about hooliganism. Why can’t we call AISA a party of rapists?” he questioned.
“Weapons of communists and their victims”.
However, what they fail to realise in this young age is that their anger and aggression is somewhere being misused against them by the political parties who are using these students as a tool to increase their vote bank and dominance.
