Some Americans refuse to give up on Confederate flag

While the majority of government officials and presidential candidates are in favor of taking down the flag, there are still many lawmakers who continue to claim the Southern Cross is a symbol of their heritage and tradition. He said about 50 people were there; the rally organizer had hoped to attract up to 200 participants.
The Confederate flag was taken down from the South Carolina capitol grounds in July after lawmakers voted for its removal, USA Today reported.
The organization met at Coastal Grand Mall, drove through Market Common, looped down Ocean Boulevard and back up 17 business waving the Confederate flag. “I view it as an effort to intimidate us in some way, and we will not be intimidated”.
Hundreds of people gathered at Stone Mountain Park, just outside Atlanta, to rally in support of the Confederate battle flag.
