McDonald’s might be launching a home delivery service in UK
MCDONALD’S has hinted at plans to offer a delivery service to customers in its five biggest markets around the world; the US, France, the UK, Germany and Canada.
For 2019 and beyond, McDonald’s said it expects to expand its operating margin from the high-20 percent range to the mid-40 percent range, as it sells more of its restaurants to franchisees and relies more heavily on royalty fees. Among the enhanced app features, will be the option for customers to order and pay for their meals curbside. That, of course, opens up questions about construction at the chain’s outlets to allow for increased cars in pickup zones. McDonald’s could soon bring Big Macs and Egg McMuffins to your door.
McDonald’s could be about to extend its delivery service to Derry and other parts of the North.
While no official start date was announced for this home delivery experiment, we’re certain that plenty of people will be absolutely delighted to see it introduced.
In addition to its sustainability efforts, McDonald’s also announced Wednesday it’s beefing up its mobile app capabilities to compete with other chains that have eaten into its marketshare. But it did say it plans to do more delivery testing.
