Bale linked to Man United again
Whilst in an exclusive the Sunday Express claim that Man United haven’t given up on a world record swoop for Real Madrid and Wales ace Gareth Bale – are Adidas driving the move?
Nani and Robin van Persie have already departed, while Ashley Young and Javier Hernandez have also been linked with moves away from Old Trafford.
The report goes on to add that Manchester United’s new 10-year kit deal with Adidas has given them a £750 million cash infusion and the sportswear giant has asked United to continue their pursuit of Gareth Bale.
The newspaper also say that Real Madrid want £86 million for the attacker, a fee the Red Devils are prepared to pay as Woodward is happy to smash the world transfer record to bring him to Old Trafford.
Should Louis van Gaal miss out on either, he may make a bid for Paris Saint-Germain winger Lucas Moura, who, according to the Metro, is attracting his interest.
Bale created 49 chances in La Liga last season. The 26-year-old played 31 times, scoring 13 goals.
Manchester United tried to sign Bale when he left Tottenham but lost out to Real Madrid.
