Nintendo Switch Pro Controller’s Secret Message To Players
The Nintendo Switch is perhaps the most innovative gaming console of 2017.
The Game theory video is close to 13 minutes long, but I’ll try to recap the video as quickly as possible to catch you up to speed. The news comes via a Nintendo News notice sent to European Switch owners. Players are advised to move devices such as laptops, microwaves, and cordless phones away from the Nintendo Switch, as well as ensuring that their hardware is fully charged, though it seems that the fault could actually be on the developer’s end in this case. But then again, aside from one great game in Zelda, that is all the Nintendo Switch has to offer. When the first Nintendo Switch trailer hit, many were impressed with the console’s ability to switch between handheld portable mode and TV mode using an included dock. A virtual board game, this mode splits players into two teams, and members battle it out in a randomised selection of 1-2-Switch’s collection, the victor of each round moving forward on the board.
A Reddit thread devoted to Switch issues notes a number of complaints mentions build issues with the Pro Controller, JoyCons detaching too easily, and various crashes – although these complaints were not really backed up with hard evidence in the thread itself. When the exact release is, HORI has yet to give out those details.
Or, as seen over Facebook, you can just recycle!
Yeah, I don’t think that will cause problems at all. Users who want to replace their consoles on account of this so called defect may have to make an individual complaint to their retailers or to Nintendo.
The Switch’s 80,000 launch figure for the United Kingdom is not as good as the 3DS (113,000), while it is nowhere even close to the launches of the PS4 (250,000) or the Xbox One (150,000), GI.biz said. However it has been pointed out that Nintendo isn’t alone in this, as other hardware makers have similar policies in place.
Unfortunately for many fans, though, GameStop immediately ran out of Nintendo Switch stock. Only time will tell, so we’ll see how that turns out. Microsoft’s latest Xbox One controller can also be used on other devices thanks to Bluetooth, as can Sony’s PlayStation 4 controller.
