Arsenal’s Sanchez dropped after training bust-up
As the Gunners’ best player this season – and perhaps in general – his potential departure would prove detrimental to their hopes of winning the Premier League.
Sanchez, the league’s joint-top scorer with 17, has demonstrated this season that he hates being substituted and not completing games.
According to multiple reports, including the Guardian, the Telegraph, the Independent, and so on and so forth, Alexis was actually dropped because of a training ground bust-up. But these things happen in football all the time. But then the question is immediately about Burnley and it starts already: ‘Oh, how can we do this?’ The legs feel already very heavy for the next game.
“It’s a shame simply because he is Arsenal’s best player”. If he is not happy about something with the manager, he will be speaking to other players, the other South American players, or his friends at the club who he trusts.
“If you would have asked me on Thursday, I would have said “not sure”. While a rest might benefit him, it could also damage his confidence. Sanchez was introduced at half-time and made an immediate impact, creating chances and providing the assist for Danny Welbeck’s goal.
Jürgen Klopp’s team exorcised the ghosts of Monday’s defeat at the hands of the Foxes as Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane struck in the first half, and Georginio Wijnaldum calmed the hosts’ nerves in injury time.
It’s created quite a bit of media interest, of which rumours have spiralled out of control.
With their aspirations of finishing in the top four coming under more and more threat each week, Wenger needs to resolve any problems within the camp.
He added: “What I find hard for Arsene Wenger is he’s not in a position of strength at the minute”.
And you can see that from another lacklustre show in the 1-1 draw against Bournemouth.
As we know, Arsenal duly lost at Anfield which led some to again question Wenger’s judgement while increasing the growing calls for him to go.
Fans expect him to be the game victor every other week. As a club, they have so much in their favour, yet they do not play to their strengths.
