PlayStation 4 update that adds Pro boost mode out tomorrow
If you’re using remote play on your PC, Mac or Xperia device, you will now be able to use a mic and engage in voice chat. External hard drive support is probably the most anticipated addition for many PlayStation 4 owners. For game titles which have not been updated with PS 4 Pro’s extra fast CPU and GPU, the Boost Mode will bridge the gap. Players who wish to join in can choose to subscribe and get unlimited access to the games or pay the price per game as you wish.
According to The Next Web, the most useful change incorporated in Update 4.50 is the introduction of Boost Mode.
The size of the system wide update due on March 9th has yet to be revealed. This setting will increase the performance of some games which haven’t been patched specifically for PS4 Pro.
And elsewhere the Chinese PlayStation website posted the patch notes for the big PS4 4.50 update ahead of the release date being confirmed. Just turn on or off the microphone through the microphone icon that is located on the Tool Bar of the Remote Play app, and voila! The firmware is now available for you to download and comes with loads of new features. Finally, a new feature specific to the PS4 Pro is also detailed today. You may also see screenshots that users upload, because Live from PlayStation will now show screenshots uploaded to PSN as a Public Activity. Following the update, the resolution of the system screen displayed on the TV will be significantly better when out of VR mode. However, Boost Mode only works with select titles and isn’t guaranteed to work with all titles. For Cinematic Mode, if you’ve set the PS VR screen to either small or medium, frame rate now goes up to 120Hz, from 90Hz. Stay tuned to our feature where we list down the top external HDDs to get for your PS4. You can install games on this HDD.
If you like a scene or a view in a game, you can save it as a screenshot and set it as your PS4’s custom wallpaper. Let is know if you are as excited about the update as we are.
When you receive a partyinvitation, you can now respond from (Messages) or (PS Messages) with a quick reply.
