Florida man attempts to chew off fingertips after arrest
A man is under arrest in Lee County, Florida, despite his attempts to chew off his own fingerprints in an attempt to not be identified. Police quickly found out that Roberts was in possession of a fake ID, three stolen credit cards, and a concealed firearm, and therefore tucked him away in the back of their squad vehicle.
On Friday, a Lee County police officer pulled over a 2015 Mercedes that was driving on State Road 82 after learning it had been reported stolen.
Video posted to the sheriff’s office Facebook page shows a man identified as 20-year-old Kenzo Roberts repeatedly gnawing at his fingertips, chewing the skin and rubbing his hands against the cage so he couldn’t be identified by his fingerprints.
Once they arrived at the police station for fingerprinting and booking, it was proven that his disturbing plan to remove his fingertips by chewing them off was all in vain.
He was also wanted at the time for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Border Patrol was also contacted and found that Roberts is in the U.S. illegally.
He was later charged with possessing three counterfeit credit cards, grand theft auto, possessing a concealed gun, possessing a fake ID, giving false identification to law enforcement and driving on a suspended license.
