Random auto unintentionally intrudes into PM Nawaz’s convoy
Sources said the prime minister is safe.
As per details, convoy of PM and his family was returning from Murree when a white Prado suddenly entered into the convoy.
A man was taken into custody for allegedly trying to hit the vehicle of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif by entering into his security detail in Islamabad on Sunday evening, ARY News reported.
However, the office of the Prime Minister did not identify the driver. The PM and his family were reported to have reached their destination safely. Interrogation revealed that the driver of the vehicle was a retired Commodore of the Pakistan Navy, who had been travelling with his family.
According to latest reports the ex PAF officer was allowed to go home after some investigation.
Prime Minister Sharif’s spokesman also confirmed that a suspicious vehicle had tried to pass the high-profile convoy and said that the incident was being investigated.
Sources said that the officials deployed for PM’s security and protocol personnel are being grilled following the incident.
