‘No Evidence’ On Trump’s Wiretap Claim, Says Top Democrat On Intelligence Committee
It’s revisionist history, Soviet style.
When ex-press secretary Ernest was asked if anyone in the Obama administration wiretapped Trump on one of the morning news shows the only answer he could give was “they’re patriots”.
Russian Federation obviously did not hack the election.
Many Republicans are alarmed by Mr Trump’s latest haymaker against Mr Obama. If the Russians did some hacking that is wrong, but we don’t believe those tactics had anything to do with the outcome of the election. Is that an allegation that the Senate Intelligence Committee should investigate, or is it. The conclusion was Russian Federation caused Trump’s win. It is that the Obama Justice Department may have used its legal authorities to investigate the Democrats’ top political adversary. But if this was the case, before the tap could occur, Trump was likely to have committed a very serious crime, possibly treason.
Apart from that, Obama has maintained a low profile in the post-election world, with allies acknowledging that he’s been absent as protests have built against his successor. Most references from the President himself have been more subtle, alluding to conspiracy theories, like Saturday’s tweet-storm accusing Obama – without any evidence – of wiretapping Trump Tower before the election, or pondering on social media why intelligence officials are apparently leaking information to the media.
There are questions about whether Trump is “capable of growing with the job”, Schiff said.
He has previously referred to the media as the “opposition party” and recently told the Conservative Party Conference that he supported the “deconstruction of the administrative state” meaning taxes and regulations that Trump has promised to cut back. There is, to my knowledge, no evidence that Trump personally was wiretapped. Probably not the sort of thing that should be announced to the nation in 140 characters. “That is also a scandal if those allegations prove to be false”. Moreover, they also do not back up the administration’s revised claim of politically motivated investigations. So Clapper was there for most of the investigation. Or his insistence, after losing the popular vote, that 3 to 5 million people had voted illegally for Hillary Clinton – complete with the promise of an investigation into this massive fraud.
Why does Trump continue to attack Obama?
Trump seems to want to help all Americans – whether they are native-born or newcomers – who have good intentions and love for our country.
“We haven’t obtained any of the evidence yet, so it’s premature for us to be saying we’ve reached any conclusion about the issue of collusion”, Schiff said.
Trump’s aides have been strangely mum on the topic as well. But right now, even as there are calls to escalate the investigation, some very knowledgeable people are beginning to admit they know of nothing there. Among them was Paul Manafort, who had been Trump’s campaign chairman until August.
If Trump met with a Russian representative, would you call for impeachment? Moreover, the Obama administration had a clear policy that no White House official could ever interfere with any independent investigation led by the Department of Justice.
Remember that Clapper was head of national intelligence until January 20. The list of Trump’s falsehoods is long.
But anger and smears will not change the fact that Democrats should be looking in the mirror and taking accountability for the 1,200 legislative seats they have lost nationwide.
In October, 17 USA intelligence agencies confirmed that Russian Federation attempted to sway the presidential election to help Donald Trump.
In other words, President Trump is in a no-win political spot: Any move to build stronger ties with the Russians will be swiftly condemned by the Left and the media as evidence of a secret relationship. “If the conversations of these Trump guys were intercepted”, they want you to conclude, “it’s not because we were targeting them”. Let’s see what he’s going to do. News reports suggest that the Federal Bureau of Investigation did in fact make multiple requests to the FISA court past year and that the court ultimately did permit the Federal Bureau of Investigation to conduct surveillance on Russian banks that might be transferring money to, and communicating with, the Trump campaign.
