HEALTH CARE: Uncertainty reigns with Obamacare repeal looming

While the zeal to replace Obamacare with a system that is more sustainable and doesn’t penalize working Americans has been in place since the legislation became law several years ago, the effort should not be hasty.
Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., said Ryan’s bill is not so much a healthcare package as it is a massive shift in wealth.
“For starters, our bill repeals Obamacare”.
The bill would no longer require that Americans buy health insurance, and it would eliminate the current subsidies that are used to bring down the cost of premiums. What they have – it won’t be there.

House Republicans are doing away with a regulation under Obamacare that restricted how much insurers could charge their oldest subscribers.

In 2013, just before the exchanges were launched, 83.4 percent of people under age 65 had health insurance.
And all this when the many real facts about the ACA are good. Is there a chance you think Republicans will get this right? And no less than the American Medical Association is opposed to what Republicans are trying to do, because doctors and hospitals recognize that under the GOP plan, millions of people will lose their insurance, which means they’ll get sicker, which means some will die.
For starters, they would maintain current funding for the Medicaid expansion until 2020.
Obamacare has never been popular. He said on ABC’s “This Week”, that the plan is “a really nice framework” but the White House is “open to talking about” modifications.
The House speaker also dismissed concerns the bill would unexpectedly leave people without coverage.
