USA lawmakers want evidence for wiretap claim
Adam Schiff said President Trump’s freakish and unfounded claims have “real-world consequences” that could affect America’s security. “I’m not Inspector Gadget”, she said.
Committee chairman Devin Nunes, a Republican from California, and Adam Schiff, also from California who is the committee’s ranking Democrat, sent a letter to Trump requesting the evidence to support his wiretap claim. The House intelligence committee has asked the administration to provide evidence of the allegation by Monday.
McCain stated that Trump has a duty to provide any evidence he has to the American people.
March 2: Attorney General Jeff Sessions recuses himself from any investigation into alleged Trump campaign collusion with Russia after the Washington Post reports he had contact twice with the Russian ambassador during the campaign in his role as a US senator. NSA intercepts of communications originating in Trump Tower could have been accessed under certain circumstances by other intelligence agencies. If that were the case, any evidence would be anecodotal. “I was there every day and every night”. “I wasn’t talking about anything specific”. “And if we get to the point where we can’t, I think it’s our obligation in the opposition to speak out and say this is not legitimate. He hasn’t made a comment and I noticed yesterday Congressman [Adam] Schiff said he would ask Comey about that”.

“I answered about surveilling generally”, she said.
“This whole issue of the relationship with the Russians and who communicated with them and under what circumstances clearly cries out for investigations, but I would also point out, we should not assume guilt until we have a thorough investigation”, McCain said. “That’s too bad for the country. Now it’s time to govern”. But as Conway concedes, governing and the more hard task of finding common ground among political adversaries is hard amid allegations of a complicated plot involving Russian Federation. “It’s very ambitious. And it’s very Trumpian”.
