BJP confident of proving majority in Goa floor test: Jaitley
The Congress failed to retain majority in the 60-member Manipur Assembly, bringing curtains on Ibobi’s tenure as the chief minister and the party’s consecutive governments in the state.

“So when there is a clear alliance of 21, which is a majority, who appeared in person before the Governor and who have also given written letters of support, how could the Governor have invited a minority when there is a majority claim before him”, he said.
Regional parties Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party – which had dominated state politics – won only 47 and 19 seats respectively. A delegation of BJP and parties supporting it called on the Governor.
State Congress general secretary Vidyapati Gautam accused the BJP of indulging in “horse trading”.
