Maddow Reveals Trump’s 2005 Tax Returns
Trump had been insistent throughout his entire presidential campaign that he would not release any of his tax returns, an unprecedented move for any candidate who ever sought the office since the Richard Nixon era. In addition, the Trumps also paid $31 million in “alternative minimum tax”, something the president has previously said should be eliminated.
Mr. Trump has, to date, not released any of his tax returns, claiming he is under IRS audit.
Maddow and Johnston said they still don’t have answers about the sources of Trump’s income.
What else would the tax returns tell you? Eastern time tonight. We’re not going to dive into the political side of things too much here, but this could easily be something that upsets the apple cart extremely depending on what is actually in it. She and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, earned $10.75 million in 2015, and paid a 34.2% federal tax rate.

What else is out there? The paper, citing tax experts, said Trump could have used his loss to cancel out an equivalent amount of taxable income for almost two decades. The forms showed that that Trump reported losing $913,765,884 in 1995.
Is it legal to avoid paying income tax for that many years?
Maddow questioned Trump’s sale of his Palm Beach, Florida, home to Russian billionaire investor Dmitry Rybolovlev for $60 million more than Trump paid for the house.
That’s pretty much what Trump’s supporters ask.
Ahead of the slated 9pm EST (1am GMT) release of the returns, the White House released a statement saying the president had a responsibility to pay no more taxes than was legally required. Trump’s tax reform plan is not expected to be brought up until after Congress completes its work on healthcare reform, an effort that has faced significant headwinds.
