Google To Continue With Its Fish-y Line of Pixel Phones
Soon, Android phones like Google Pixel and Pixel XL, Nexus 5X, Nexus Player, and Pixel C devices started running on the beta version of Android 7.1.2 Nougat. After all, before Nougat came along, Google only offered Developer Previews that were available for major x.0 updates only, leaving out other forms of minor or maintenance updates. We now have some word that the release of Android Nougat 7.1.2 is going to be likely April 3. There is a strong possibility that the 2017 version of the Google Nexus 7 will have the Android OS.
Still, if Google can come up with such a premium flagship device in its first release, expectations soar to the sky and so must Google attend to it. It’s not an April fools’ joke at all.
The latest report about the Android 7.1.2 update comes courtesy of Canada’s biggest carrier – Rogers.
Last week’s Android security update broke Android’s Pay for some Nexus 6 users, so it was pulled and re-posted. In fact, Rogers has already been testing out this new VoLTE service on those Pixel users for a little while now.
In relation to this, netizens has taken the upcoming update as another hint for Nexus revival possibility which follows the March security update that brought fixes to Nexus 6P problems such as random shutdown, battery failures and Bluetooth, Gigjets reported.
The only major change that we know to be coming out with the Android 7.1.2 Nougat OS too, is quite trivial. The second next-gen Pixel phone codenamed as “Muskie” will be the larger variant, which has not yet been spotted online. Well, everything seems to indicate that the official version of the update with Android 7.1.2 Nougat will arrive in early April, specifically on April 3.
