Galaxy S8 confirmed to have Bixby, to have 3D Touch home button
Now, we’ll get seven colors with the Galaxy S8, as Samsung borrows a leaf from Google’s playbook for the Pixel and Pixel XL.
According to the latest buzz, the device will feature a 7-inch OLED screen that can start as a tablet, and fold to become a 5-inch smartphone screen that will fit easily in your pocket.
The foldable phone is not just a pipedream – according to insiders we could see a working prototype of Samsung’s Galaxy X in Q3 2017! With that said, the registration is most likely intended for special guests like Samsung’s main partners and invited media.
LG recently unveiled the LG G6, a handset that delivers a big screen with an 18:9 aspect ratio, a water-resistant design and dual-lens camera.
A man leaked the image with the Samsung online, so, it’s still not clear if it’s the real deal.
Samsung’s Galaxy S8 will be up for pre-order from 7th April, nine days after the device is officially unveiled at special events in London and NY on 29th March. It will support two different sensors, a “high-quality” and a “low power”, that will surely raise the multi-camera technology of the Samsung to the next level. That virtually confirms that the phone will launch in the United States by the 28th at the latest, as it’s highly unlikely to launch in Canada before the US.
While the purported design choice will supposedly make life easier for right-handed users, it will leave left-handed users at a frustrating disadvantage. These should be more convenient for the user, who wouldn’t need to unfold the phone every time they wanted to use it.
Express.co.uk has tested a number of phones that have rear scanners and always found them slightly frustrating to use.
Bendable and foldable displays are always repeatedly showcased during the Consumer Electronics Show among other technology events. Till then, stay tuned and let us know what you think in the comments section below. Opening the application will show the countdown for the Galaxy S8’s March 29 event.
